Founded in 1997 by brothers Rafa and Alfredo González, Suerte Ampanera has become one of Spain's best-known organic goat farms. Their free-ranging Murciano-Granadina goats graze among the holm oaks of the Sierra de Madrid, providing the milk for cheeses that have earned some of the country's highest honors.
Visitors walk with the herd, meet the young shepherd, learn how the farm operates, enjoy a presentation on the family's philosophy and cheesemaking process, and finish with a tasting of their award-winning organic cheeses.
